PLATTSMOUTH – The Plattsmouth baseball team scored five runs in the second inning, including RBIs from Adam Eggert and Aaronn Aho, and the Blue Devils defeated Nebraska City Thursday at Plattsmouth High School, 7-2.
Aho also opened the scoring in the first inning with an RBI single. He finished 3-4 at the plate with four RBI’s.
He also threw a complete game to secure the win on the mound. Aho gave up two runs on seven hits and struck out seven.
Plattsmouth tallied only five hits.
Tyler Levy took the loss for the Pioneers. He gave up six runs on four hits over 1 1/3 innings.
Nebraska City collected seven hits with Levy and Brayden Betts managing multiple hits.
The Blue Devils improve to 4-8 and will be at Fort Calhoun on Monday. The Pioneers drop to 5-7 and host Beatrice on Monday.
Platteview 13, Auburn 3: Trojans starter Nick Adkins struck out six batter in four innings. Caden Mathewson went 3-3 at the plate and drove in four runs. Jordan Mathewson had three RBI’s and three runs scored while going 2-2 at the plate. Hunter Babe added a triple, an RBI and a run scored.
