MALCOLM – Sydnie Reeves had 33 digs, Emma Goering finished with 14 digs, and the Auburn volleyball team won the East Central Nebraska Conference Tournament Championship Thursday night, 18-25, 25-18, 25-19, 25-21 (3-1), over Malcolm.
“Sydnie made even the out of system balls easy for our hitters to terminate,” Head Coach Lexie Baack said. “The girls played hard to the very end tonight. Our even offense was in play again tonight as all of our hitters attacked the net. Defensively we picked up ball after ball to help keep our hitters swinging.”
Reeves added 14 digs and 5 service aces.
“So proud of our whole squad and how they did it together,” Baack said. “We are ready to finish out the rest of our regular season on a high note!”
Desire Mowery finished 12 kills, Rachel Bohling ended with 15 digs, and Ashley Teten blocked three attacks from the Clippers.
The Bulldogs improve to 17-7 and will host Plattsmouth (9-12) on Monday.
