Auburn Faces Mead Tonight in Semi-Finals of Conference Volleyball Tournament

AUBURN, Neb. – Junior setter Sydnie Reeves had 33 digs and 9 kills and the Auburn volleyball team defeated Palmyra, 27-25, 25-22, 23-25, 25-21 (3-1), in the first round of the East Central Nebraska Conference Tournament Monday.

Senior Theresa Frary led the team in kills with 13. Junior Addie Gyhra added 10.

“We switched up a couple of things offensively and that seemed to take Palmyra off their game a little,” Bulldogs Head Coach Lexie Baack said. “Finding holes against them is always tough, but our hitters stepped up and put plenty of balls away at key points.  Our defense also picked up significantly and we’re able to save a lot of balls for us.”

Auburn will be in Mead tonight to take on the Raiders in the semi-finals.
