AUBURN – The Auburn volleyball team bounced back from a 1-2 showing at the Lincoln Christian Tournament on Saturday with a clean sweep through their own triangular on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs defeated Conestoga, 25-7, 25-7, and Freeman, 25-19, 25-17, at Auburn High School.

“After a tough weekend, seeing these ladies play with heart and passion tonight especially in front of a great home crowd was a great way to end our regular season,” Head Coach Lexie Baack said. “Our front row was almost impossible to get through tonight, which kept some of Freeman’s strong hitters from doing damage.”

Auburn ends the regular season at 21-9 and will play in the C1-1 Sub-District Tournament on Monday at Norris High School. Fairbury, Falls City, Syracuse and Wilber-Clatonia will also compete. Brackets will be released by the Nebraska School Activities Association on Thursday.
