Championship games set at HTRS Holiday Tournament

HUMBOLDT – Sophomore Jordan Koehler was one of four players scoring in double figures and the Johnson-Brock girls basketball team defeated Pawnee City, 60-29, in the opening round of the HTRS Holiday Tournament Friday.

Koehler finished with 13 points. Juniors Elizabeth Hodges and Logan Edwards each added 11, and senior Jayse Koehler dropped 10 points.

Krista Menninga led the Indians with 10 points.

“Poor shooting and inability to finish plays led to our defeat,” Pawnee City Head Coach Dani Niss said. “Johnson-Brock is a good team, and they shot well. We have a few tough games ahead so we need to adjust quickly.”
