Coach’s outlook: “We must reinvent ourselves on offense with the loss of two power running backs. We have athletic kids back in the other skill positions and must find a way to use their skills. On defense, we took a hit as our front six graduated, but the returners have experience as backups and should be capable in filling out our starting lineup.”

Crete (3-6)

Seniors: Jonah Weyand, RB-LB, 5-11, 190; Zach Muff, WR-DB, 5-11, 195; Klay Uher, WR-LB, 6-4, 210; Blake Sears, WR-DB, 5-11, 150; Jed Bond, OL, 6-1, 240; Clayton Van Horn, DL, 5-11, 170.

Coach’s outlook: “The strength of our team will be in its athleticism. We return almost our entire wide receiver-defensive back crop from last year as well as Weyand. Our weakness will be our overall lack of experience at several positions such as quarterback and the lines.”

Coach’s outlook: “Losing 22 seniors is hard on any program, and it will be tough to replace that leadership and production. The team is excited about the returning skill players and the growth with a new system in all three phases.”

Coach’s outlook: “We have a great opportunity to have a nice season. The first four or five games will be very crucial for us to hit on all cylinders. We return a lot of seniors and contributors and have depth at all positions. Class B is so brutal week to week. Having an immature team that does not have solid backups is scary. We feel confident we can weather most storms. We must be sitting in a good place come district time because those three teams are excellent.”
