Creighton baseball completes two-game sweep of Saint Louis

T. LOUIS — Creighton completed a two-game sweep of Saint Louis with Wednesday afternoon’s 9-4 victory.

CU (7-3) trailed 4-3 before scoring five times in the sixth inning. The Bluejays took advantage of two errors and Parker Upton capped the inning with an RBI single. Upton and Isaac Collins each drove in two runs while Jason Allbery and David Vilches scored twice.

Jonah Smith pitched two-thirds of an inning in the fifth to pick up the win. Three relievers after Smith — Ryan Connolly, Ryan Windham and Bobby Kametas — combined to pitch four shutout innings for Creighton, which begins a three-game series at Evansville on Friday.
