PLATTSMOUTH – Noah Milam didn’t allow a run on just one hit in four and two-thirds innings and Falls City dispatched Plattsmouth, 7-1, Monday evening at Plattsmouth High School. Milam finished with six strikeouts.
The game was originally scheduled for March 16, but was postponed due to weather.
The Tigers broke the game open in the fifth inning when Milam, Kade Bredemeier and Ransom Campbell drove in runs. They finished with four runs in the inning.
Falls City collected 11 total hits. Bredemeier, Campbell, James Eickhoff and Chaydyn Butler each collected multiple hits.
Hunter Adkins took the loss for Blue Devils. He surrendered three runs on four hits over four innings, striking out four and walking one.
Kirkland Haswell, Draven Ray, Luke Setlak, Tucker Anderson and Connor Pohlmeier all had one hit for Plattsmouth.
Falls City improves to 4-4 and will host Beatrice (1-5) Tuesday. Fans will be able to watch the game on News Channel Nebraska television (available at Southeast Nebraska Communications in Falls City) and at ncnsportsnow.com. Thursday’s game at Auburn (3-1) will air on B103 (103.1 FM, b103.fm).
The Blue Devils (1-7) will be at Gretna Tuesday for their first round match-up with the Dragon in the Eastern Midlands Conference Tournament.
