Iowa City received 2.34 inches of rain Tuesday evening according to Accuweather. The result was this:

Thunderstorms are possible for Iowa’s season opener against Northern Illinois on Saturday, but rain totals aren’t expected to reach over an inch.

If the Hawkeyes beat the Huskies, Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz will become the winningest coach in program history, surpassing Hayden Fry.
