Johnson County Central Golfers Earn Runner-Up Finish at Bennington Tournament

BENNINGTON, Neb. – The Johnson County Central girls golf team enjoyed some of the best rounds of the season on a sunny, warm day at Stone Creek Golf Course Tuesday in Bennington.

The Thunderbirds claimed a runner-up finish with a team score of 434. The Elkhorn South JV team won the team title with a 366.

Individually, junior Erika Cruz became the first JCC golfer to break 100 this season, and her score of 98 was good for the 6th place medal. Senior Taylor Gerdes posted her best score of her career and finished 12th with a 109, while senior Charla Eggleston also shot a personal best of 111 to earn the 14th place medal.
