NEBRASKA CITY – The Nebraska City girls and boys basketball teams will travel to Norris High School on Friday night to play the Titans in a double-header on KNCY 1600 AM, 105.5 FM and ncn21.com.
The Pioneers girls team (4-14) have two games remaining in the regular season. They are coming off a 48-19 loss at Crete on Tuesday. Meanwhile Norris (6-10) is riding a two-game losing streak, including 50-41 loss to Beatrice on Tuesday. The Titans are led by freshman Brianna Stai, who average 9.2 points per game and 7.9 rebounds.
Tip-off for the girls game is set for 6 p.m.
The Nebraska City boys team (1-16) is dealing with a tough stretch in their schedule to end the regular season, including a pair of games with #7 Gretna, #2 Platteview, Boys Town, Crete and now #10 Norris (11-7). The Titans beat Beatrice on Tuesday, 59-57, after losing the Eastern Midland Conference Tournament Championship in double overtime, 64-62, to Bennington. The Pioneers are on a 15-game losing streak.
The boys game is scheduled to begin around 7:30 p.m.
