Plattsmouth scores 11 runs on 4 hits to defeat Falls City

FALLS CITY – Aaronn Aho went 2-4, with a double, two RBIs and a run scored, and the Plattsmouth baseball team defeated Falls City, 11-7, on Friday – despite only having four total hits.

Both teams combined for 11 errors (6 for Plattsmouth, 5 for Falls City) at Southeast Nebraska Communications Field in Falls City.

The Blue Devils (5-8) put up four runs in the third inning and five runs in the sixth. Nathan Konkler, Zane Renner, Logan Blotzer, Shawn McKinley and Adam Eggert each drove in runs in the sixth.

The Tigers’ attempt at a comeback was cut short in the seventh when they scored three runs. Dalton Fouraker, Carson Bredemeier and Kyle Black each had RBI’s in the inning.

Falls City (3-6) collected 11 total hits. Kade Bredemeier went 4-4, with a double, an RBI and a run scored.

Eggert earned the victory on the mound. He threw five innings, gave up two runs on seven hits and struck out 11. McKinley registered the final six outs for the save.

Plattsmouth will be at Fort Calhoun on Monday, while Falls City hosts Bishop LeBlond, Mo.
