Elkhorn (Troy Schutte)—Seniors: *Joseph Pietrocini, *Wyatt Behlen. Lost five seniors from a sixth-place Class B team. Antlers return seven lettermen.
Fremont (Matt Burg)—Senior: Jack Kranz. Kranz is one of four lettermen who had some late-season success.
Grand Island (Jim Jeffries)—Senior: Noah Vahle. Junior: Rowen Jaros. Sophomore: Ayden Kenkel. Vahle and freshman Marcus Holling will be the Islanders’ top players.
Gretna (Scott Boehler)—Seniors: *Zach Weber, *Colin Kitson. Sophomores: *Colton Stock, *Christopher Atkinson. The four were on a state-tournament team.
Lincoln East (Chad Geiger)—Seniors: *Connor Vandewege, *Hunter Hall, *Jack Christensen. Junior: *Caleb Shirk. Nine seniors were trying to make the varsity five. One of them, Wes Dreamer, transferred from Elmwood-Murdock. Should be competitive practices.
Lincoln High (Larry Elwood)—Juniors: Seth McKeighan, Sanford Wood, Lewis Schultz. Returners will provide leadership.
Lincoln North Star (Scott Friesen)—Seniors: *Rourke Jensen, Jalen Alexander, Tristan Sloup. Jensen and Alexander are three-year lettermen.
Lincoln Northeast (Alex Svehla)—Senior: Thomas Brennan. Brennan is only returning letterman. Sophomore Caden Peppmueller should break into the lineup.
Lincoln Pius X (Steph Kolbas)—Senior: *Holton Harman. Sophomores: *Jason Kolbas, *Kody Sander. Jason Kolbas tied for second at state after beating winner Luke Kluver of Norfolk in districts. Thunderbolts look to qualify as a team.
Lincoln Southeast (Joe Schlegelmilch/Justin Freitag)—Seniors: *Jack Bergmeyer, Spencer Allgood, Ben Christensen, Jack Hesson. Bergmeyer leads a nucleus of five with varsity experience that wants to return to state as a team.
Lincoln Southwest (Jim Danson)—Seniors: *Hudson Schulz, *Josh Bartels, *Tanner Riggs, *Riley Podliska. Sophomores: Geran Sander, Connor Podliska. Silver Hawks will work to stay with the elite teams.
Millard North (Jake Hirz) – Seniors: *Josh Peters, *Grant Schweser, *Ethan Blair. Coming off a state runner-up season, the seniors provide a solid base. Newcomers must fill final two spots.
Millard South (Alex Palmquist)—Seniors: Jayden Anderson, Dylan Kohler. Patriots return last year’s top two.
Norfolk (Jerry Cover)—Senior: *Luke Kluver. Junior: *Jake Kluver. Sophomore: Isaac Heimes. Defending champion opened its season by winning the Grand Island Invitational at Riverside by nine over Omaha Creighton Prep, with two-time state champion Luke Kluver shooting 71 to be medalist.
Omaha Bryan (Jason Brannen)—Junior: James Valencia. Sophomore: Emiliano Gonzalez. Bears are young and look to improve.
Omaha Burke (Larry Seitz)—Junior: Ivan Yabut. Sophomore: Rich Orth. Bulldogs hope to be competitive.
Omaha Central (Brent Larson)—Senior: Charlie Levy. Junior: Kyle Linnell. Eagles graduated two state individual qualifiers, but there’s a good group of sophomores and juniors to battle for open spots.
Omaha Creighton Prep (Matt Rasgorshek)—Sophomores: *Jake Boor, *Rex Soulliere. Young team has some young talent moving up. Soulliere already is a college prospect.
Omaha North (Joe Wiegand)—none. Vikings are an unproven team with golfers Wiegand expects will improve vastly in their scores. Isaac Brown and Zane Cox should keep North in third in OPS circles.
Omaha South (Kevin Kennedy)—Seniors: Cam Baratta, Noe Chaparro. Sophomore: Shane Baratta. Packers will seek improvement across the board.
Omaha Westside (Brett Froendt)—Senior: *Grant Jabenis. Warriors will reload around Jabenis, who was fifth at state last year. Froendt sees great competition to make the varsity lineup.
Papillion-La Vista (Joe Pudenz)—Senior: *Noah Vondra. Junior: *Reece Mehrens. Monarchs will reload with underclassmen in hopes of returning to state.
Papillion-La Vista South (Joel Bails)—Senior: Drew D’Ercole. Junior: Zach Bowen. Sophomore: *Mason Burger. Titans have a solid sophomore class led by Burger, last year’s Nebraska Junior Golf Tour player of the year.
South Sioux City (Russ Fuchser)—none. Cardinals have a good core group but lack experience.
Adams Central (Rod Hartman)—Seniors: *John Pohlson, *Nolan Sughroue, *Nicholas Bohlen. Sophomore: *Nathan Sughroue. Patriots are an experienced team.
Ashland-Greenwood (Jordan Wallman)—Sophomore: Aiden Lindley. Coach said the program is on a similar rise to boys basketball, with several golfers on both teams.
Beatrice (Dick Stuart)—Seniors: *Trenton Jurgens, *Andrew Paquette, Kaden Strubel. Sophomore: *Bryant Jurgens. Like many teams, the Orangemen are playing catch-up from the weather.
Blair (Ross Udey)—Senior: Blake Stirek.
Central City (Daniel Negus)—Seniors: Dyllan Lee, Brule Kearney, Dillon Kohl, Koby Brandenburg. Junior: Tanner Belitz. An experienced team needs better consistency.
Chadron (CJ Bach)—Senior: Jay Milburn. Juniors: Trevor Berry, Blake Olson. Bach expects a stronger team. Berry won the Western Conference title.
Columbus Lakeview (Alex Heard)—Junior: *Landon Bignell. Vikings had 19 try out, most underclassmen. Sophomore class is talented.
Columbus Scotus (Tyler Swanson)—Seniors: *Bryce VunCannon, *Sam Blaser, *Cameron Johnson. Junior: *Drew VunCannon. Six or seven are capable of making the lineup that faces stronger district competition this year in order to return to state.
Cozad (Robert Nutt)—Seniors: *Adam Cole, *Dillon Geiser, Luke Breon, Dillon Kolbo. Sophomore: Jacob Engel. Good competition to make the top five behind state qualifiers Cole and Geiser.
Douglas County West (Charlie Doeden)—Seniors: Avery Sturtz, Colby Perkins. The Falcons have 12 freshmen out. Their home course, Pines Country Club, is recovering from the Platte River flooding.
Elkhorn Mount Michael (Kent Christenson)—Juniors: *Logan Hock. Ethan Meduna. Sophomore: *Luke Gutschewski. Knights are after a fifth consecutive state tournament year. Gutschewski is among the best in his age group.
Fairbury (Jed Martin)—Senior: Trevin Arnold. Junior: Dalton Petersen, Deven Wannamaker, Joe Melcher. Sophomore: Aden Watson. Jeffs are young and lack experience.
Falls City (Lee Kurpgeweit)—Senior: Jake Joy. Junior: Braden Oliver. Sophomore: Lukas Aldana. Young team has goals of improvement.
Gering (Keaton Green)—Seniors: Justin Scott, Tommy Ganos, Kyle Schroeder. Many newcomers have limited experience behind the three seniors.
Holdrege (Tim Mattson)—Seniors: Matt Anderson, Damon Taylor. While the team is unproven and moves east for districts, Mattson believes the Dusters can qualify for state.
McCook (Rick Haney)—Sophomore: Brady Esch. Bison graduated four from a state qualifying team. Senior Joel Gray wil move up from sixth man.
Norris (Greg Rettele)—Senior: Tristan Bade. Junior: Bailey Amend. With freshmen Logan Thurber and Brock Rowley, Titans could be a surprise team.
North Platte (Jim Orcutt)—Senior: *Drew Phillips. Juniors: *Jayden Jones, *Finn Lucas, Tanner Ruda. Bulldogs’ first year in Class B, after they were sixth in Class A last season, could be a winner. Five players have good tournament experience from this past summer.
Omaha Concordia (Joel Kock)—Seniors: Trevor Schufeldt. Mustangs have four returners.
Omaha Gross (Tim Powers)—Senior: Dylan Wilson. Sophomores: Noah Miller, Bryce Griger, Thomas Anderson. Four of the top six return from last year’s state qualifying team.
Omaha Roncalli (Don Jensen)—Hayden Marus. The Crimson Pride’s only 2018 state qualifier graduated.
Omaha Skutt (Mike Stolarskyj)—Senior: *Kaleb Fullerton. Junior: *Charlie Zielinsk. Zielinski is a returning district champion who finished third at state for the state runner-up SkyHawks.
Plattsmouth (Dan Oatman)—Junior: Ryan Oatman. Sophomores: Levi Flaherty, Ryan Shukis. Blue Devils are younger than last year.
Ralston (Wes Kosch)—Seniors: Josh Warner, Brandon Linhart, Jordin Aprezo-Guzman, Ali Ebada. Junior: Michael Faulkner. Sophomore: Jarrod Beamon. Kosch is hoping for improvement that leads to a state tournament berth.
Schuyler (Brante Hayes)—Senior: Connor Bywater. Sophomore: Easton Hall. Warriors lack a lot of quality competition experience.
Scottsbluff (Brock Ehler)—Senior: *Gavin Howell. While the Bearcats graduated five, they have Howells and two more seniors. A large freshman group will gain experience.
Wahoo (Jayson Iversen)—Senior: Chase Aldrich. Warriors are short on experience.
Wahoo Neumann (Pat Sullivan)—Senior: *Noah Briley. Junior: *Lindsey Thiele. Sophomores: *Pat Kenney, *Boston Pentico. The Cavaliers bring back four from a 10th-place team in Class C. Freshman Lauren Thiele joins sister Lindsey, who won her district last spring, and the team looks to make a title run.
Waverly (Michael Cobelens)—None. Sophomore Jaden Kearney is only returning letterman.
Wayne (Josh Johnson)—Seniors: Jonah Brodersen, Peyton DeWald, Zach Urbanec. Junior: Shea Sweetland. Returning starters will make a push for a state tournament berth while getting pushed by younger golfers.
West Point-Beemer/Scribner-Snyder (Keith Eriksen)—Seniors: Teague Stewart, Ben VanderGriend, Chase Eisenhauer. Sophomores: Ty Kaup, Drake Repschlaeger, Kaleb Hasenkamp.
York (Dan Malleck)—Junior: *Reed Malleck. Defending champion must replace four seniors.

Arlington (Scott Parson)—Seniors: Alek Timm, Lance Vie. Sophomore: Austin Smutz. There’s limited experience behind the returners.
