AUBURN – The Auburn volleyball team has gone 6-1 over their last seven matches since losing to Class D1 No. 3 Johnson-Brock and Class C1 No. 2 Lincoln Lutheran.
The Bulldogs improved to 9-3 Thursday night with a three-set sweep of Class C2 No. 11 Palmyra, 25-12, 25-22, 25-19.
“Our hitters are taking care of the ball with much more finesse, and their net work has been incredible,” Head Coach Lexie Baack said. “Back row is picking up any slack that has come through our tough front row, and is so encouraging and exciting to see these ladies working so well together. They are putting everything they have out there every game.”
Sydnie Reeves and Rachel Bohling led Auburn in digs with 11 each. Reeves also had 17 assists and 5 serving aces. Emma Goering finished with 8 kills. Jocelyn Lambert tallied 5 blocks at the net.
The Bulldogs will play in the Louisville Invite on Saturday.
Palmyra drops to 7-5 and will play Syracuse and Elmwood-Murdock in the Knights Triangular on Tuesday.
