Role Players Come Up Huge For Lourdes CC in Semi-Final Win

LINCOLN – Johnson-Brock’s coaches said they didn’t want to get beat by Quentin Vasa and Thomas Ragland.

That plan was successful, as the Eagles held Lourdes Central Catholic’s top two scorers to just 16 points combined. But other Knights stepped up, helping LCC beat Johnson-Brock 55-47 in a Class D1 quarter-final match-up on Friday.

Chief among the contributors for the Knights was senior Brandon Fredrichs, who came off the bench and scored 24 points.

Lourdes CC will play for their third straight state championship on Saturday.
