LINCOLN – More than 40 high school football players from around the state descended on Memorial Stadium Wednesday as coach Scott Frost and his staff hosted in-state players and potential walk-ons.
The players had a chance to meet with Nebraska’s coaches, tour the facilities, get information about financial costs and benefits and hear from a panel of Husker players.
The group included a number of all-state selections. The majority of the players attending have scholarship offers from Division II and NAIA programs.
Attendees from southeast Nebraska included Fairbury’s Adam Wasserman, Crete’s Ethan Mach and Klay Uher and Christian Harring from Falls City Sacred Heart.

A number of players received offers to be walk-ons for Frost following the event, including Kearney athlete Isaiah Stalberd, Omaha Skutt linebacker Jake Archer, Yutan defensive lineman Colton Feist, Millard West running back Brody Belt, Bellevue West offensive lineman AJ Forbes, O’Neill receiver Wyatt Liewer and several more.
After the event Frost again flew to Orlando to continue coaching Central Florida as they prepare to face Auburn in the Peach Bowl on New Year’s Day.
