Storm Chasers cap road trip with loss to Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. — The Omaha Storm Chasers wrapped up their California road trip with a 5-3 loss at Fresno on Monday.

The Grizzlies took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second when Antonio Nunez singled on a line drive to right field to drive in Jamie Ritchie and Nick Tanielu.

The Storm Chasers took a 3-2 lead in the top of the third. Terrance Gore scored on a single from Billy Burns, then Frank Schwindel hit a double that brought home Burns and Nicky Lopez.

Fresno regained the lead in the bottom of the inning, getting an RBI double from AJ Reed and a two-run home run from Yordan Alvarez to pull ahead 5-3.

The Chasers have played their past seven games in California, sweeping a three-game series against Sacramento and going 2-2 at Fresno.

The Chasers will return home Wednesday for a 7:05 p.m. game against Las Vegas.
