Three long balls send Hickman past Nebraska City

HICKMAN – The Hickman American Legion Baseball team hit three home runs, including two in the first inning, defeating Nebraska City on Tuesday night, 9-1, in Hickman.

Bryce Levy lasted four innings on the mound, allowing nine hits and nine runs while striking out three.

Levy went 2-3 at the plate with a double. The Post 8 Seniors finished with six total hits. Eli Southard also had two hits in two plate appearances.

Nebraska City drops to 0-2 and will be at Auburn (1-0) on Thursday at 8 p.m. The game will air live on KNCY 1600 AM, 105.5 FM and
