Annual golf outing will benefit youth and legion baseball teams in Nebraska City

NEBRASKA CITY, NE – The Nebraska City Baseball Association will host their 6th Annual Golf Outing to benefit the youth and legion baseball teams.

The four-person scramble will be held on Saturday, June 3 at Table Creek Golf Course in Nebraska City. Registration begins at 11 a.m., with tee-off at noon.

Cost of the event is $65 per person and includes 18-holes of golf, a golf cart, prime rib or grilled chicken dinner and a chance to win pin prizes. There is also a chance to win $10,000 if you can drill at hole-in-one on a designated hole.

Board member John Hodges says the golf tournament and banquet is their big fundraiser for the year and all proceeds benefit the youth and legion baseball teams.

“To keep our costs down, this is one way we can do that. We play some teams out of Lincoln and Omaha, they’re charging $1,000-$1,500 a kid. We are able to charge about $400-$450 a kid. By doing the golf tournament, the fundraiser and the banquet, that allows us to keep our costs down.”

The dinner and a live and silent auction will held in the clubhouse after the tournament.
