Book Bag Slip Blamed For Steinhart Park Road Accident

NEBRASKA CITY – An unsecured book bag is blamed for an accident near the Nebraska City High School on Valentine’s Day.

A 2002 Ford pickup driven by Dakota Cook, 17, and a 2013 Dodge Journey driven by Pamela Frangedakis, 39, collided at the intersection of Steinhart Park Road and Central Avenue.

Cook told police he had stopped at the intersection, but the car lunged forward when a book bag slipped from the transmission hub and hit his foot.
