NEBRASKA CITY – Nebraska City Fire and Rescue attended to a Nebraska City boy Thursday evening after his bicycle rammed into the side of a northbound vehicle on 16th Street.
Police say Christopher Moyer was going too fast through an alley and failed to stop before emerging onto 16th Street. The bicycle hit the rear passenger door of a Ford SUV driven by 22-year-old Payton Lee of Nebraska City.
Lee told police she heard a thud and saw a boy laying in the street through the rearview mirror. The boy was able to walk to a stretcher provided by an ambulance.
Police say another boy was riding on the rear pegs of the bicycle but jumped off before the collision.
