NEBRASKA CITY – The Highway 2 interchange was closed down briefly Thursday morning for tow trucks to pull a car out of the ditch.
Police and Otoe County sheriff’s deputies responded at 7:24 a.m. that a man had left the road in the construction zone and hit a sign. The Pontiac Parisenne with Richardson County plates was stuck in the mud.
Authorities shut down the intersection around 7:51 a.m. for about 15 minutes.
In other action, overnight. Police responded to a report of a reckless driver at Walmart and a man sleeping in a bank doorway.
