Farm Tractor Helps School Bus Out of Snow Drift

NEBRASKA CITY – Nebraska City area farmer John Haupt gave students some help getting to school this morning.

Haupt had his tractor out moving snow this morning when a neighbor called to report that a school bus was stuck in a snow drift on E Road north of town.

Haupt said he hooked his tractor up to the bus and pulled about 50 yards to get the bus on its way again.

Otoe County schools provide the roads department with designated bus routes, which typically begin at 6 a.m.

Haupt said the county plowed drifts on Road E later in the morning.
