Fourth Corso Viaduct Contract Goes Before NC Council

NEBRASKA CITY – The Nebraska City City Council will consider a contract to construct the Fourth Corso viaduct and purchase of a wood chipper at its 6 p.m. meeting today at city hall.

The city will consider the $5.7 million construction bid from Hawkins Construction Company for the new viaducts.

An  agreement with Nebraska Department of Transportation and Union Pacific Railroad for a construction easement is also on the agenda.

The city is expected to act on a Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality grant of $37,342 toward the purchase of a $93,438 chipper.

The city will also direct conveyance of .33 acres of land to Bartlett Grain Company to correct a 1959 land transfer.
