Governor Candidate Bringing Marijuana Petition To Nebraska City

NEBRASKA CITY – Krystal Gabel, who is challenging Gov. Pete Ricketts for the Republican nomination for governor in the 2018 primary election, has scheduled a Nebraska City visit on Friday, Sept. 8.

Gabel will be outside of the Otoe County Courthouse from 3 to 5 p.m.

She will be accompanied by members of the Legal Marijuana Now Party, who will be collecting signatures for a 2018 ballot measure to decriminalize marijuana.

Gabel’s platform also offers support to beginning farmers and ranchers and says that cannabis and hemp production would generate new taxes and invigorate the state’s agricultural economy.
