Lego League Robotic Regional Set At Nebraska City

NEBRASKA CITY – Opening ceremonies for the The First LEGO League regional qualifier are scheduled at the Nebraska City High School Saturday morning at 11:45 a.m.

The competition challenges students in grades four to eight with real-world engineering by building Lego-based robots to complete tasks. Robots have 2 and a half minutes to autonomously navigate 12 different missions on the competition field.

This year’s challenge is called hydro dynamics, that encourages student to learn about water use, transportation and disposal.

Nebraska City hosts one of six regionals, where teams qualify to compete at the state competition Feb. 20 at the Strategic Air and Space Museum in Ashland.

Official robot games are scheduled to begin at 12:45 p.m.
