NEBRASKA CITY – Lourdes Central Catholic Schools is hosting a tribute to country music great Hank Williams with a 7 p.m. performance by Jason Petty at the Wirth Theatre on Wednesday, Oct. 18.
“Hank and My Honky Tonk Heroes” describes Williams’ life growing up and becoming famous and is full of hits including “Your Cheatin’ Heart,” and “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry.”
Songs influenced by Williams will also be featured, including those by George Jones, Elvis and Alan Jackson.
Petty played Williams in the theatrical production of The Lost Highway in Nashville and New York.
There is a free will offering for the performance.
