NC Considers Contracts For Wood Bridge, City Hall Roof

NEBRASKA CITY—The Nebraska City City Council is expected to award a bid for the Steinhart Park Bridge overlay project at its meeting Monday night.

JMN Construction of Valley  has bid $104,765 to overlay the wood driving surface, which has become uneven.

City commissioners will also discuss a  $243,725 bid from McCoy Construction of Omaha for the replacement of the roof on the city hall and fire station.

Discuss the professional agreement between the city and JEO for the 7th Street paving and storm sewer improvement project;

Discuss the utility installation agreement between the city, Holiday Inn Express and Green Lamb Properties, LLC;

Approve a plan by the Police Department to hire part-time certified officers to fill in during the coming months; and

Approve an interlocal agreement with the Nebraska Department of Education Vocational Rehabilitation Program to implement a summer work-based learning experience.

A new Nebraska City Police officer, Jeremiah Campbell, will be sworn in during the meeting.

The meeting will start at 6 p.m. Monday, June 4, in the Bill Davis Room of City Hall, 1409 Central Ave.
