NC Council Considers 11th Street Notes, Community Picnic

NEBRASKA CITY – The Nebraska City City Council will consider the approval of 10 ordinances, including the approval of bond anticipation notes for the North 11th Street Project, during its Monday, May 7, meeting.

Council members will review a proposal quote for asbestos and lead-based paint inspection for the Morton-James Public Library HVAC project.

Also on the agenda are the approval of a sidewalk cafe permit for the Keeping Room and a plan for a community appreciation picnic at North Wildwood Park from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 10.

Council members will learn the results of a feasibility study and will identify projects for the second phase and second year of the Community Development Block Grant Comprehensive Development plan.

The council will also consider a purchase offer for a city-owned lot at 301 Central Ave. Council members will accept the officer election report from the Nebraska City Volunteer Fire Department, recognize awards presented to the Nebraska City Police Department, and recognize Kadynce Mullins for receiving the Prudential Spirit of Community Award.
