NEBRASKA CITY – Nebraska City churches are providing meals for workers displaced by flooding.
Evening meals are served Monday at First Lutheran, Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church, Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church, Thursday at Bethel United Church of Christ and Friday at Calvary Community Church and St. Mary’s Catholic Church fish fry.
Pastor Michael Schmidt of Nebraska City First Christian Church has been organizing the meals through the Nebraska City Ministerial Association. He said an average of 45 people has been served.
Flood relief supplies, including food, clothing and personal care items, are available at the Nebraska City Church of Christ, 1102 S. 10th St.
On Thursday, April 18, the meal will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints.
