NEBRASKA CITY – The 2019 Special Olympics Southeast Polar Plunge is scheduled at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, at Wildwood Pond.
The exhibition plunge is intended to introduce Otoe County to the event, which has been held in Auburn in six of the last seven years.
Crews were out on the ice Friday, getting prepared. Registrations begin at the park at 1 p.m.
The forecast calls for 20 degrees at 1 p.m. with a wind chill real feel of 12 degrees. Snow flurries are expected at 4 p.m.
