Run For the Fallen’s Nebraska City Stop Taking Shape

NEBRASKA CITY – Nebraska City’s part of the national Run for the Fallen is taking shape.

The run, scheduled over 6,000 miles from California to Arlington National Cemetery, will go down Central Avenue on June 6.

A ceremony is being planned for Memorial Way, where the names of fallen soldiers will be read. At least one family will be presented with an Honor and Remember flag.

Captain of the run, Bruce Husted, presented Nebraska City with a poster of names of fallen heroes in the war on terror.

Contact Nebraska City Tourism and Commerce to be involved in the run as a mile-marker speaker or runner.
