Stolen Boat Returned To Nebraska City

NEBRASKA CITY – Police credit social media posts for the return of a boat that was stolen from Nebraska City earlier this spring.

The 1998 PrinceCraft boat, which seats up to 15 and has a new motor, was taken from Chris and Debbie Weddle’s residence.

Police advised the owners to keep an eye on Craig’s List to see if the boat’s parts were being sold, but the owners took it a step further. The posted photos describing the boat as stolen and offered a reward for its return.

Omaha police received a tip that the boat was parked at Zorinsky Lake in Omaha. It was recovered undamaged and was reported to be “sea-worthy.”
