NEBRASKA CITY – The Nebraska City Mueum Association is hosting Trails West Day at the Old Freighters Museum from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 9.
This year’s event will feature living history demonstrations, hands-on kids activities, live music and horse-drawn wagon rides.
This year marks the 175th anniversary of the Oregon Trail.
On Sunday, June 10th, the Missouri River Basin Lewis and Clark Center will host Sunday With A Soldier.
The Living History Corps will be at the center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with presentations on life in the Corps of Discovery.
Kids can dress in look a-like uniforms and fire a traditional black powder rifle.
