Claire Emshoff, age 81 of Nebraska City passed away on Tuesday evening; August 8, 2017 at the Ambassador in Nebraska City. Claire and her husband Robert moved to Nebr. City in 1994 from Andover, NJ.
She was born Jacqueline Claire Weber on December 20, 1935 in Tampa, FL; the only child of John August “Jack” and Rose Ethel (Foster) Weber. She attended school and graduated in Livingston, NJ.
She was united in marriage to Robert F. Emshoff on May 19, 1956 in Verona, NJ and to this union three children were born: Bonnie, June and Philip.
Claire was a housewife and homemaker. She also worked for a number of years as an executive secretary at Prudential and Hartford Insurance Companies. She enjoyed music, traveling and reading. Claire especially enjoyed helping people learn more about the Bible. She happily served along with her family as Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Claire is survived by her husband Robert Emshoff of Nebr. City; children: Bonnie Lehrbach and husband Peter of Fredon, NJ, June Voight and husband Fred of Richmond, TX and Philip Emshoff and wife Carrie of Nebr. City, NE; nine grandchildren; a large family of relatives and many, many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday; August 19, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Nebraska City.
