Clarence Burton Glover, age 83, of Nebraska City passed away on October 8, 2017 at Morton Place in Nebraska City. Clarence was born on November 11, 1933 to Harry and Nellie (Leitner) Glover in Crescent, Oklahoma. As a boy, Clarence lived with his family in many areas of Missouri attending six different schools in his first 12 years of education. He graduated from El Dorado Springs (Missouri) High School in 1951 and University of Missouri in 1956 with a degree in electrical engineering. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1957 after graduation and served until 1959.
While in the Air Force he was stationed at Loring Air Force Base in Maine and there met Evelyn Fay Bartlett who became his wife on November 11, 1957. Over the years, he and his family lived in Caribou, Maine; Phoenix, Arizona; Smyrna, Georgia; Albuquerque, New Mexico and most recently Nebraska City, Nebraska to be near his daughter and husband.
Clarence enjoyed hiking and camping in the outdoors, watching western movies and television, and playing games of all kinds including card games, board games, computer games and golf.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; daughter Gloria Glover and husband Ted Beilman; all of Nebraska City; son Gary Glover, wife Kathy, and grandson Joseph Glover of Scottsdale, Arizona; brothers Herschel Glover of Monument, Colorado, Marion Glover and wife Billie of Alvarado, Texas, Virgil Glover of Coupeville, Washington and sister Mary Ellen Green and husband Richard of Corinth, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be no viewing or visitations and private services will be held at the Omaha National Cemetery near Springfield, NE.
