Clarice R. (Hendrickson) Lang, 90 of Hamburg, IA passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at the Grape Community Hospital in Hamburg, IA.
Clarice was born on February 24, 1928 in Nemaha County, NE; the daughter of Clarence Oscar and Alberta Genevieve (Lotter) Hendrickson. She grew up in the Nemaha County area and graduated from Auburn High School, Auburn, NE with the class of 1946.
On January 9, 1948, Clarice was united in marriage to Claude Edward Lang, Sr. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Auburn, NE and to this union, seven children were born: .Claude Jr., Carol, Clayton, Clyde, Clarke, Curt and Cary. Clarice was a loving wife and mother and one who was very giving to anyone in need. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary #1834 since 1974.
Those left to cherish her memory include four children: Claude E. Lang, Jr. and wife Shelly, Carol E. Woods and husband Gary, Clayton E. Lang and wife Judy and Cary E. Lang all of Hamburg, IA; 14 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren and 10 step great-grandchildren; siblings: Clarence Hendrickson and wife Wilma, Harold Hendrickson and wife Anne, Ray Hendrickson and wife Linda, Earl Hendrickson and wife Beverly and Dennis Hendrickson and wife Pat all of Hamburg, IA; other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Claude on November 4, 1978; children: Clyde, Clarke and Curt; siblings: LaVonne Lunzmann, Dale Hendrickson, Gladys Martin and Esther Barrett; infant siblings: Deloris Hendrickson and Cheryl Hendrickson and three great-grandsons: Nathan Lang-Gammell, Wyatt Lang and Trigg Lang.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday January 25, 2019 at the United Trinity Church in Hamburg, IA with Curt Crain and Rev. Portia Iverson officiating. Burial will follow the services at Mt. Olive Cemetery, southeast of Hamburg.
The family will greet friends Thursday (1/24) evening at the Rash-Gude Funeral Home in Hamburg from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
