Sixty year old Dwight Leffingwell lost his six year battle with cancer on July 4th, 2018. He faced it all with strength and fortitude. He was born to Carl and Norma Leffingwell April 6, 1958 he was our Easter baby. Dwight graduated from Fremont Mills High School and attended classes at NWMS in Marysville, MO.
Dwight is preceded in death by his father, Carl Leffingwell. He is survived by his Mother Norma, Brother David and Sister Charlotte. He has many Uncles, Aunts and cousins whom he loved.
Dwight always liked making music, mushroom hunting and his many friends, especially his lifelong friend Ted Stafford. He will be missed by all who knew him. The Family wants to thank all those who helped support Dwight through his long illness. There are so many who were there for him.
Graveside services for the interment of ashes will be 9:30 AM Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Mt. Zion Cemetery near Tabor, IA with Mr. Gary Moles of the Bartlett, IA Community Church officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation and, in lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Sidney Rodeo Museum or the Donor’s Choice.
