Lucille A. Panko, 95 of South Sioux City, NE, formerly of Cook, passed away on October 31, 2018 at the Regency Square Care Center in South Sioux City. She was born on December 9, 1922 to Fred & Ida (Steinkuhler) Eisenhauer near Burr. Lucille was baptized on January 21, 1923 and confirmed on May 16, 1937 both at the Hope Lutheran Church in Burr.
Lucille married Eldon T. Panko on September 22, 1946 at the Hope Lutheran Church in Burr. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting and quilting.
Following Eldon’s death in February of 2007, Lucille moved to Bertrand Assisted Living in Bertrand, NE. In 2013 she became a resident at the Alpine Village care facility in Verdigre, NE. In 2016 she came to the Regency Square Care Center in South Sioux City, NE.
She is survived by her Children: Gary Lee Panko and his wife Beverly Rautenberg-Panko of South Sioux City, NE, Arlyn Gene (Deb) Panko of Fairbury, Nebraska, Sharol Kay (Sam) Olson of Four Seasons, MO; Grandchildren: Dawn (Ryan) Mann, Matthew Panko, Lee (Michelle) Panko, Nathan (Lacy) Panko, Russel (Jessica) Panko, David (Aleece) Panko and Tyler Panko; 24 Great Grandchildren; Sisters: Mavis (Dick) Mohlman of Waverly, Iona Pieper of Lincoln; Brother: Joy (Betty) Eisenhauer of Fish Creek, WS; also numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 3rd at 2 p.m. at the Grace Lutheran Church in Cook. Burial will follow at the Grace Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 2nd from 9 A.M. until 5 P.M. at the funeral home in Syracuse, with family greeting friends 3:00 until 5:00 PM and also 1 hour before the start of the service at church.
Memorials are suggested to the Grace Lutheran Church in Cook.
