PERU – After sweeping the Eagles on Saturday, the Peru State baseball team found themselves on the other side on Sunday.
The home-standing Avila baseball team took a pair of contests from the Bobcats 5-1 and 2-1 in Kansas City to even the series at two games each.
Avila improved to 2-6 on the season while the Bobcats fell to 2-2.
Peru State will head to Columbia, Mo., to face Columbia in a three-game series with the Cougars on Saturday and Sunday. Columbia is also 2-2 on the season having split a series with Bethel (Tenn.) on Friday and Saturday.
