Baker Takes One from Peru State

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. –  The 25th-ranked Baker Wildcats took the first game of the double header over Peru State in Baldwin City, Kan., on Friday before Mother Nature won game two. A storm rolled through and forced the postponement of the second game with a date to be scheduled later.

The Wildcats topped the Bobcats 10-0 in five innings. Baker improved to 27-7 overall and are now 16-5 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference (Heart) South Division. Peru State fell to 9-28 overall and are 4-19 in the Heart North.

The Bobcats will be on the road Sunday when they travel to Atchison, Kan., to face Benedictine. This was to be a home game, but the impending weather has forced a change. Game time for the double header will be 2 p.m. The Ravens are 19-13 overall and are 9-11 in the Heart South.
