Bobcat Baseball Weekend Schedule Changes

COLUMBIA – Just like its softball counterparts, the Bobcat baseball team is trying to work with Mother Nature to have some semblance of a schedule for the week.

After having their games cancelled for today (Wednesday) with Columbia (Mo.), it was announced this morning that Peru State’s schedule for the weekend has been changed.

At this time, Peru State and Graceland (Iowa) will play their first Heart of America Athletic Conference (Heart) competition on Friday in Joplin, Mo. Neither team’s fields are playable nor would the weather be conducive for action.

The Bobcats and Yellowjackets were scheduled to play in Peru on Saturday, but will travel south to at least get two of their three-game series in this weekend. They will play one seven-inning game beginning at noon and will follow with a nine-inning contest on Friday. If the weather in Joplin cooperates, they will complete their series Saturday with one nine-inning game.

There will not be any stats or video coverage for the games due to the relocation of the series.
