Bobcat Volleyball Hosts Clinics for Local Prep Athletes

PERU, Neb – Area high school volleyball players took part in two different clinics hosted recently by the Peru State volleyball program on the campus of a Thousand Oaks.

New Bobcat head coach Laurie Schroeder brought a different approach to the Peru State volleyball camps this summer by offering one-day clinics in the different technical aspects of the sport.

On Thursday, the high school campers in attendance took part in a “Serving, Passing, and Defense Clinic” and then on Friday, participants were trained in a “Hitting and Blocking Clinic.”

Participating in the “Serving, Passing, and Defense Clinic” on Thursday were: (l to r) – Eryn Snethen (Falls City), Emma Heng (Nebraska City), Logan Bakula (Nebraska City), Michelle Beer (Salem), Gina McGowen (Nebraska City), Alivia Stuhr (Nebraska City), Arianna Waschowski (Bellevue), Hannah Cunningham (Bellevue), and Skylar Field (Unadilla).

Friday’s “Hitting and Blocking Clinic” participants were (l to r): Emma Heng (Nebraska City), Alivia Stuhr (Nebraska City), Emily Agena (Sterling), Gina McGowen (Nebraska City), Michelle Beer (Salem), Eryn Snethen (Falls City), and Rylee Pieper (Western).
