PERU, Neb. – Bobcat football senior Jake Coughlin (Omaha) was named to the Heart of America Athletic Conference (Heart) North Division First Team as announced by the conference today. For Coughlin, this was his second-straight year of being named to the first team.
The 6-2, 185-pound wide receiver had 26 receptions for 495 yards and six touchdowns this season. He averaged 2.4 receptions per game, 45.0 reception yards per game, and 19.0 yards per catch.
Coughlin was the only Bobcat to gain first team honors.
Those earning second team honors were senior offensive lineman Christian Vinsky (Murrieta, Calif.), junior defensive lineman Stephen Bowers (La Vista), senior safety Justin Barnes (Tallahassee, Fla.), and senior punt returner AJ Flodman (Hickman).
Three Bobcats earned honorable mention recognition. Senior fullback Sean Van Briesen (La Vista), junior offensive lineman Quentin King (Omaha), and senior quarterback Travis Carnahan (Wahoo).
