PERU – Fifteen Peru State senior football players will be recognized Saturday prior to the Bobcats’ game against Culver-Stockton (Mo.).
The recognition will take place prior to the 1 p.m. kickoff at approximately 12:35 p.m. in the historic Oak Bowl on the campus of the College. The game will be carried live on KNCY 1600 AM, 105.5 FM and ncnsportsnow.com.
The late Justin Haystrand (New Port Richey, Fla.) who was tragically killed in a car wreck last spring, will be represented by several family members as one of the 15 who will be honored.
Others being recognized include: Colton Audsley (Prescott Valley, Ariz.), Dan Boshart (Wood River), Stephen Bowers (La Vista), Austin Connot(Allen), Myles Hicks (Kansas City, Mo.), Dylan King (Vancouver, Wash.), Quentin King (Omaha), Chase Latscha (Olathe, Kan.), Deondrae Mayo(Ocala, Fla.), Skylar O’Dowd (Omaha), Erik Osborne (Pawnee City), Deshawn Phelps (Austin, Texas), Lee Privett (Independence, Mo.), and Rowdy Witt (Austin, Texas).
As has been the tradition for many years, the Peru State football booster club will provide a token of appreciation to each player who will be escorted by either family members or friends.
