LINCOLN, Neb. – The NCAA Division III Nebraska Wesleyan (NWU) men’s basketball team didn’t take their exhibition game with Peru State lightly Monday night. The Prairie Wolves topped the ‘Cats 103-96 in a contest which counted for Peru State.
The Bobcats fell to 3-2 on the season following the loss to NWU.
Quantice Hunter followed his last week’s high-scoring performance with another 36 game-high points against the Prairie Wolves. He hit 11 of 17 field goals which included making five of seven three-point tries.
Peru State will travel to Sioux Falls, S.D., Tuesday night to face Augustana University in what will be an exhibition game for the ‘Cats, but will count for the Vikings. Game time is 7 p.m.
