Peru State Baseball/Softball Changes

PERU – Once again Mother Nature rears its ugly head and is forcing changes and cancellations in the Peru State baseball and softball schedules.

The Bobcat baseball team was to have played in Leavenworth, Kan., Tuesday against the University of St. Mary and then were to travel to York to face the Panthers are Wednesday. Both contests have been cancelled.

As of this notification, Peru State baseball will now wait to play until Saturday, March 10, when they will begin Heart of America Athletic Conference (Heart) play against Evangel in Springfield, Mo. Then, on Sunday, the ‘Cats will be in Marshall, Mo., to face Missouri Valley. Both double headers are scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.

The Bobcat softball team’s games scheduled for Tuesday with Tabor in Hillsboro, Kan., have been moved to Thursday with the double header scheduled to now begin at 2:30 p.m. Peru State’s regularly scheduled double header with the University of St. Mary for Wednesday, March 7, is still on the docket.

Like their baseball counterparts, the softball team is to open Heart action this coming Saturday when they will face Culver-Stockton in Canton, Mo., at 1 p.m. On their way back to Peru, they will stop in Lawrence, Kan., for a non-conference double header against Haskell which will begin at 2:30 p.m.
