DUBUQUE, IA – After sweeping their Heart of America Athletic Conference (Heart) opener over Mount Mercy on Saturday, the Bobcat softball team split another double header at Clarke in Dubuque, Iowa, on Sunday.

The Bobcats led 6-0 early in the first game only to see the Crusaders come back to win 7-6. In the second game, Peru State was able to run rule Clarke 16-8 in five innings.

With the split, the ‘Cats are 8-11 overall and 3-1 in the Heart. Clarke is now 12-4 and 4-2 in conference action.

The Bobcats will be on the road again to Iowa on Tuesday when they go to Oskaloosa, Iowa, to take on William Penn in a double header beginning at 2 p.m. The Statesmen are 12-9 overall and are 0-2 in the Heart.
