PERU, Neb. – The Peru State Bobcat football coaching staff hosted a “Football Team Camp” in late July with high school teams from Auburn, Falls City, Glenwood (Iowa), and Shenandoah (Iowa), participating. The two-day camp was to allow the teams to participate in a fully-padded camp with controlled contact scrimmages.
Those attending from Auburn were: Turner Arban, Connor Clark, Daniel Frary, Carter Hamann, Keenan Hamilton, Kole Liguori, James Miller, Nathyn Murphy, Tyler Nitzel, Jarrett Olson, Ethan Phillips, Weston Reiman, TJ Roybal, Elijah Unruh, Tyler Williams, and Austin Youngquist.
The Tigers from Falls City participating were: Jackson Lunsford, Noah Milam, Cade Schawang, Rudy Vrtiska, Brandon Frederick, Hylen Farmer, Geoff Zimmerman, Hunter Arnold, Braden Oliver, Dillon Ebel, Cole Krivolavek, Steven Riggs, Emmet Kirkendall, Stephen Acton, Lukas Butler, Jayden Kreifels, Phoenix Martin, Trey McAffe, Jack Findlay, Cade Bredemeier, Lane Burns, Collin Cook, Shane Campbell, Jace Heckenlively, and Keldon Campbell.
Glenwood’s campers included: Keegan Roenfeld, Andrew Holiday, Konner Peterson, Logan Fornoff, Jacob Pestel, Cody Sorenson, Dylan Hopp, Zachary Lacy, Dillon Wiser, Eric Heidenescher, Jon Lee, Blake VonEssen, Brady Wedduem, Kris Mintle, Kohen Watson, Ben Roenfeld, Tanner Maxwell, Christian Baker, DeSean McVay, Isaac Bales, Blake Raymond, Greg Topete, Trevor Stanley, Colton Schutte, Noah Carter, Parker Sell, Trevor Anderson, Andrew Blum, Zachary Vondra, Cody Buresh, Justin Giambalvo, Josh Ruth, David Mower, Eli Bales, Caleb Sanders, Koltyn Eckheart, Nick Gill, Dylan Good, Cole Mayberry, and Cooper Silvius.
Representing Shenandoah were: Nick Dickerson, Kyle Cervan, Kyle Owens, Hunter Stanley, Kendrick Hodges, Nick Phillips, Harley Martin, Cole Nebel, Austin Herold, Jake Wiegel, Anthony Stogdill, Ashtin Perrin, and Seth Hughes.
A total of 94 high school players and many of their respective coaches participated in in individual and group drills.
Members of the Bobcat coaching staff provided the instruction and facilitated the team sessions. Peru State assistant coach Lou Varley coordinated the camp.
