Peru State Hosts Youth Basketball Camp
Bob Ludwig

(Peru, Neb.) – During his first full week on the job, new Peru State men’s basketball coach Bob Ludwig held a youth basketball camp on the College’s campus.

Sixteen area youth attended the three-day camp which featured instruction by Ludwig, women’s assistant coach Kendyl Rizea and men’s basketball manager Riley Porter (Syracuse).

The camp ran for three hours each morning with campers being trained on proper techniques, learned new drills, and also participated in some team activities. During the camp, various contests were conducted.

The respective winners were: Sweet 90 Elementary – Wes Swanson (Auburn), Sweet 90 Junior High – Keegan Jones (Tecumseh), Free Throw – Logan Tomky (Pawnee City), Hot Shot – Marcus Hudson (Auburn), and Mr. Hustle & Attitude – Sloan Pelican (Johnson).

Ludwig concluded the camp with encouragement to each of the campers to continue their work over the summer and invited them to attend a fall camp. In addition, the campers are eligible to attend home basketball games while wearing their camp t-shirt.
